Stella Maris a female protector or guiding spirit at sea (a title sometimes given to the Virgin Mary); the phrase is Latin, and means "Star of the Sea", and is first attested as an epithet of the Virgin in St Jerome. This logo was created with the photographer's actual namesake kept in mind. The photographer wanted to ensure her real name was protected but the name and logo would speak to her and her audience (potential clients). The favicon, as seen in the last graphic, is our interpretation of the "Star of the Sea" and the icon this logo was designed around. This logo design and image watermark conjures a vintage, chic simplicity as requested by the photographer. Three cameras were used to show diversity and imagination, which every great photographer has embedded in their vision and emotion of each photo they capture.
Additionally, a secondary logo was created to ensure the icon sketches (which are much more prevalent in this version) can be featured if the photographer chooses during the watermarking process of her photos. It also lends some flexibility in the logo use without sacrificing the brand identity.
