Facebook Timeline Cover created for the National Hockey League’s Stanley Cup Playoffs.
This was an easy client to work with, as this faceLIFT was for a personal Facebook Timeline Cover. We know the client very well and his obsession for hockey is evident in this design. The requirements set forth included the ability to change the Facebook Timeline Cover as the results of the Stanley Cup Playoffs progressed. This made for a very unique design, as it had to be changed nightly for about 10 days.
We first created an ice sheet in the background and layered the NHL Shield logo right into the ice. The team logos were placed into the design and each one received a “frozen” look. Also included was a player from each respective team. The opacity was decreased in each player to give them an appearance of blending into the ice. We placed previous Stanley Cup winner, Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins, into the design beginning in the Profile Picture. Crosby’s photo bled into the main faceLIFT design. This gives the appearance of one uniform photo, when in actuality it is two separate files and photos. Overall, this was a challenge to keep up with on a daily basis. Nonetheless, the client enjoyed it immensely.
Here is a modified screenshot of the final design as it appeared on Facebook.
